Episode 25 -	The End of Time

Tenchi is in Sakuya's empty apartment, numb with shock from the sudden loss of the girl he had grown so close to since moving to Tokyo. All that remains of her is a photograph and a few short months of happy memories.

Meanwhile, Matori's attack on the Masaki home continues. Ryo-Ohki is no match for Yugi's demon-summoning servant, so Ayeka must rely on her own Jurai powers to fend off her attacks. Ayeka exhausts herself trying to hold Matori off, and is soon defeated, leaving Matori to spirit Sasami away to Yugi's palace. Ryo-Ohki rushes to Tokyo to tell Tenchi and the others.

Arriving minutes later, Ryo-Ohki brings the news of Sasami's kidnapping. Katsuhito and Washu are puzzled; why should Yugi kidnap Sasami and not Tenchi, the heir to the Masaki shrine and future Earth guardian?

In Yugi's palace, Sasami has been imprisoned in a crystal. With her friend now safe, Yugi leads her final attack on Earth. A dark shadow is cast across the land as her domain begins to enter the real world, freezing time and turning everything on the planet to crystal. Tenchi and the girls are protected from the effects by their crystal bracelets. Now with more reason than ever to be angry with Yugi, Tenchi wants to face her, but Katsuhito warns him against doing anything rash; by himself, Tenchi would stand no chance against her. However, the headstrong Tenchi is eager to put a stop to Yugi's twisted plans, and sets out for her palace. As he dashes through the frozen city streets, he blames himself for the events that led to the family breaking up.

Meanwhile, on the ice planet, Ryoko and the demonic Hotsuma are still engaged in fierce combat. On Earth, Mihoshi and Kiyone too are fighting against Tsugaru, but he is impervious to their ordinary Galaxy Police pistols.

As Tenchi approaches Yugi's palace, he is tormented by his memories of Sakuya. He cannot believe that Sakuya was merely Yugi's creation. He tells himself that although Sakuya was created by Yugi to drive him apart from his family, she had become so real as for it not to matter. Ever more determined to stop Yugi, he enters the crystal palace. He quickly arrives at Yugi's throne room, and as he lunges as her, he crashes into her last line of defence. A bright glowing shield halts his progress, and he finds himself caught in a dream world. He is walking to school in Tokyo, and Sakuya walks with her friends ahead of him. He runs to catch up with her, calling out her name. When he approaches, the scene fades out around him, and he hears Yugi's voice. The scene switches to the beach where he and Sakuya went on their last date. When Sakuya speaks, she does it with Yugi's voice, taunting him that her shadow is entirely under her control. Tenchi grabs Sakuya, and her voice returns to normal. With Tenchi trapped in his dream world, Yugi thinks she has won.

Ryoko's battle with Hotsuma grows more intense. Ryoko summons all her powers, spurred on by the thought of being reunited with Tenchi, and blasts Hotsuma out of existence. Mihoshi and Kiyone's battle is also drawing to a close. Unable to defeat Tsugaru with their regular weapons, Kiyone loads an experimental antimatter bullet into her pistol and gives it to Mihoshi, asking her to make the shot while she herself draws Tsugaru's fire. Kiyone runs out to confront Tsugaru, knowing that he could easily kill her. He opens fire on Kiyone, and she knows she cannot avoid the blast. However, Mihoshi's bravery comes to the rescue and she puts herself in front of the blast. Scorched but unharmed, Mihoshi collapses to the ground. As Tsugaru gloats, Kiyone seizes the opportunity and opens fire on him. The antimatter bullet works, and vaporizes him once and for all.

Meanwhile, Tenchi remains trapped in his dream world, enjoying being back with Sakuya. As they enjoy the spring cherry blossoms together, Tenchi decides that he can finally give Sakuya the answer to her question, and confesses his love for her. They kiss for one last time, and Sakuya reminds Tenchi that this is only a dream, and that he has a mission to accomplish. Yugi is shocked that her creation is betraying her, but is powerless to stop Sakuya from ending Tenchi's dream.

Tenchi awakes from Yugi's illusory world and activates his crystal pendant. The six other crystal pieces shine brightly. The crystal in which Sasami is imprisoned shatters. Ryoko is the first to arrive back, and she grabs Tenchi's hand. Matori tries to finish the two of them before the others arrive, but Ayeka appears and deflects the blast with her Jurai shield. Matori attacks again, but Kiyone and Mihoshi arrive, guns blazing, and drive her away again. Sasami and Washu appear, and the seven of them are finally reunited by the power of the crystals. The final battle with Yugi is about to begin...
