Kiyone, ever the dedicated Galaxy Police officer, is angling for a promotion to HQ, so is busily patrolling their sector on the lookout for criminals. Mihoshi, meanwhile, is more interested in watching her favourite TV show, "Space Police Policemen".
On Earth, Sasami is busy preparing dinner. Ryo-Ohki accidentally breaks a pile of plates when she is trying to take some carrots, and Sasami gives her a ticking off and sends her outside. Meanwhile, Ryoko and Ayeka are bickering over the last cookie in the box Tenchi sent them. Their argument soon escalates into an all-out fight, and their brawling ends when they break a gold statue. Rather than face the music themselves and own up, they come up with a plan. They balance the last cookie over the crack in the statue and wait for Ryo-Ohki to turn up and take the bait. Their plan works, and when Sasami finds Ryo-Ohki sitting amongst the broken pieces of the statue, Ayeka and Ryoko blame the poor cabbit. Ryo-Ohki tries to protest her innocence, but Sasami thinks she is lying, and tells her she is bad. Heartbroken, Ryo-Ohki runs out of the house and disappears into the night. Later that evening, Tenchi's grandfather returns. Sasami explains about the statue, and he inspects the damage. He can tell that the statue was broken in one strong blow, nothing that Ryo-Ohki could have done. Ayeka and Ryoko have been rumbled!
Out by the lake shore, the hungry and downtrodden Ryo-Ohki watches the moon reflected in the water. She hears the yowl of cabbit, and she turns to see another cabbit, very similar in appearance to herself, watching from a ledge. Ryo-Ohki approaches, and the other cabbit transforms itself into its spaceship guise. Ryo-Ohki does likewise, and together they fly to the moon. On the moon, Ryo-Ohki is greeted by a whole family of cabbits. However, Yugi is watching, and amongst the group is her own cabbit, Yu-Ohki. Ryo-Ohki is being led into a trap...
In Tokyo, Tenchi is walking home from school, deep in thought. It has been three days since Sakuya saw him on his date with Ryoko. He is interrupted when Mihoshi and Kiyone's shuttle appear overhead. They tell him there is an emergency and beam him aboard. Meanwhile, in Okayama, Sasami has found out that Ryoko and Ayeka are responsible for making Ryo-Ohki run away. Fortunately, Tenchi arrives to put a stop the arguments, and he decides to consult Washu on what to do. Washu, decked out in her Sherlock Holmes outfit, uses her Time Monitor to locate Ryo-Ohki, and tells everyone that she has been kidnapped. With a fix on her location, the gang set off for the moon to bring her back.
When they arrive on the moon, Kiyone strikes on the idea of videoing her performance when dealing with the kidnappers. They soon come across the crater where all the cabbits are living. There are so many of them that it is virtually impossible to pick Ryo-Ohki out from all the others. Luckily, Sasami's natural bond with Ryo-Ohki allows her to pick out the right one, and the duo are joyfully reunited. However, Yu-Ohki is not going to let Ryo-Ohki escape, and it transforms into huge, demonic cabbit and attacks the gang. Ryo-Ohki strikes back by transforming into her mechanoid form, and as she grapples with the monster cabbit, Mihoshi and Kiyone open fire on it. The gang returns to the shuttle, and Kiyone is particularly pleased as she thinks that her performance was caught on tape. Unfortunately for her, Mihoshi has used the tape to record "Space Police Policemen", sending Kiyone's promotion opportunity down the drain!
