Episode 7 -	The Day We Met

Tenchi is leaving Tokyo for Okayama to celebrate the second anniversary of the day he met his extended family. With the inter-dimensional tunnel out of commission, Tenchi's journey back is by train, and Sakuya is there to see him off at the station. During his trip, he examines a crystal pendant he carries with him, and reminisces about how he came to own it. Tenchi is not the only one with a pendant — the girls all have one of their own, which they wear around their wrists on bracelets.

In the Masaki household, preparations for a big reunion party are well underway. Ryoko is out by the lake, and as she gazes at her own crystal pendant, she remembers how it all began...

A ferocious dogfight is taking place is deep space; the pursuer, Princess Ayeka in her Juraian battleship, her quarry, the space pirate Ryoko. In cahoots with the scientific genius Washu, Ryoko has stolen the Jurai Light Stone, an artefact with virtually unlimited energy. Washu's high-power deflector shields protect Ryoko's ship from the onslaught of Juraian battleships and Galaxy Police shuttles, but they also drain the ship's fuel very quickly. Washu scans the local area for fuel supplies, and finds a massive source of concentrated energy on planet Earth. Without shields, Ryoko's ship takes a massive hit and plunges towards Earth, drawn in by the mysterious energy source. Washu soon identifies the energy source; a necklace made from seven crystals around a young man's neck. The young man is, of course, Tenchi, who is astonished to see a gigantic battleship looming down on him from the sky. The ship crashes in the forest, and Ryoko and Washu are forced to make a run for it on foot. The Juraian princesses and the Galaxy Police land near the crash site to hunt for the escaping criminals. Ayeka soon catches up with Ryoko, and a vicious battle ensues. When Ryoko realises she cannot hurt Ayeka or her guardians with her normal attacks, she resorts to using the power of the Jurai Light Stone to try and beat her. Pressing the stone into her forehead, Ryoko absorbs its energy and transforms into a vicious and powerful demon.

Meanwhile, Sasami is searching the woods for her sister, and comes across Tenchi. Thinking she is just an ordinary little girl, Tenchi tells her how dangerous it is to be out in the woods alone, and tries to lead her to safety. However, they come across Ayeka and the mutated Ryoko battling. Ryoko is about to finish Ayeka when Tenchi's crystal necklace shines brightly and transforms into a huge glowing sword. He takes the sword and blocks Ryoko's attack with it. Caught in the energy field, the Light Stone drops out of Ryoko's forehead and combines with the sword. The explosion of energy released leaves a huge crater, with the unconscious Ryoko lying in the middle. The sword reverts back to the crystal necklace.

The girls' reminiscing is interrupted as Tenchi finally arrives home. They are all glad to see him, and now the family are together again, the party can begin.
