Episode 14 - No Need for a Rebellion!
  Hanran muyô!
  Hanran muyō!
First aired - 2nd July 1995

Ryoko's happinessIt is another ordinary day at the Masaki home, and Tenchi and the girls are at the lake shore looking at Ayeka's Ryu-Oh tree. The Juraian life tree, after sprouting a tiny seedling in episode 9, is growing rapidly into a strong young tree, much to Ayeka's delight. As Tenchi leaves for school, Ayeka and Sasami leave to start the housework, only to find that Ryoko has vanished. Preferring to walk (or in Ryoko's case, float) to school with Tenchi, she drifts along beside him and talks. She tells him that even though she has only been on Earth for 3 months, she has enjoyed every day, and hopes things can go on like this forever.

Meanwhile, Kiyone has a special reason to be happy; she has just been promoted, and is packing her case ready for her return to Galaxy Police headquarters. Unfortunately, Mihoshi has formed the impression that she is leaving too, and Kiyone has to break the news that she is her partner no more. Mihoshi is devastated, and begs Kiyone not to leave her behind.

A rather inglorious entranceThat evening, Kiyone pays the Masaki family a visit to say her farewells. As she bids a tearful goodbye to everyone, a sudden roaring noise from the sky attracts their attention. Tenchi, who is walking back from school, also notices it, and moments later a huge Juraian spaceship appears over the hills. He rushes home, only to find that the whole house has simply vanished, leaving only a confused Ryo-Ohki behind! Katsuhito arrives from the shrine moments after Tenchi, and is equally clueless as to what is going on. Suddenly, a strange pod crashes into the ground where the Masaki house stood. It splits open and Mihoshi, Kiyone, Washu and Nobuyuki tumble out. Ryoko, Ayeka and Sasami are missing.

A short while later, Washu relates the story of what went on to Tenchi and Katsuhito. She tells them that the spaceship is a Juraian military craft, and everyone, along with the house, had been teleported aboard. Ryoko was arrested for space piracy, and Ayeka and Sasami for high treason, before everyone else was returned, rather roughly, to Earth. Even the house, along with Azaka and Kamidake, has been shrunk to fit in the transport pod.

Imprisoned princessesAs the Juraian ship leaves Earth, Ayeka pounds on the wall of her cell, demanding to be let out. Ryoko is trying to summon Ryo-Ohki, but cannot concentrate with Ayeka shouting. Sasami is still confused over why they were arrested. Ryoko surmises that, since the Juraian military are involved, something must have happened on Jurai in the princesses' absence.

Meanwhile, the captain of the ship reports the successful arrest to the admiral, telling him that Lord Yosho's orders have been carried out. The captain questions why Yosho should wish to have the princesses arrested, but the admiral replies that it is not their place to question the emperors orders. As the captain ends his transmission, an officer reports the sighting of an unidentified craft approaching from Earth. It is Yagami, Kiyone's Galaxy Police shuttle. Kiyone hails the Juraian military ship and demands to know why Jurai is interfering in Galaxy Police territory, and requests that they at least turn Ryoko over to her. The captain tells her he is only carrying out orders, and since Ryoko was aboard their ship when she was arrested, she is under Juraian rule. However, Kiyone's communication with the Juraian ship is also a ruse to get Yagami close enough for Washu to use her portable portal to sneak aboard.

Washu, Tenchi, Katsuhito, Nobuyuki and Ryo-Ohki step through the portal and appear in a corridor on the battleship. They rush to find the captives, and soon come to a crossroads. It is impossible to know which way to go, but Katsuhito picks one corridor and leads everyone along it, offering no explanation other than him having a hunch that they are going in the right direction. The Masakis are drawn into combat Before long, their presence on the ship has been detected, and the way ahead is blocked by a whole troop of Juraian soldiers. Tenchi and Katsuhito draw their wooden swords and attack, and within moments every soldier is lying unconscious on the floor. They continue along the corridor and soon arrive at the cell where Ryoko and the princesses are being held. There is no way to remove the force field blocking the doorway, but Ryo-Ohki comes to the rescue, transforming into her spaceship form and breaking through the walls. The escapees board Ryo-Ohki, and blast their way clear of the Juraian battleship. Ryo-Ohki can outpace the battleship easily, and they head out into space, leaving the Earth far behind.

Aboard the Yagami, Kiyone wonders just what could have happened on Jurai to make the military arrest their own royal family's princesses.
