Episode 13 - Time & Space Adventures: Part Three
  Tenchikaibyaku jikû michiyu - kôhen
  Tenchikaibyaku jikū michiyu - kōhen
First aired - 25th June 1995

The concluding part of the dimension-travelling tale. Washu continues to locate and close down the fantasy dimensions to bring everyone back to reality.

Housewife Mihoshi and bossy sister-in-law AyekaThe next mini-story follows a day in the life of an ordinary family living in an ordinary suburb. Mihoshi, mother and wife, bids her husband Tenchi goodbye as he leaves for work one morning. After sending her daughter, Sasami, off to school, she returns to the house to find her sister-in-law Ayeka waiting for her. Ayeka, who also lives with Tenchi and Mihoshi, is as bossy as they come, and the morning's housework is met by criticism every step of the way. After a stressful visit to the market, Mihoshi decides to call Kiyone, her best friend, to meet her for lunch.

That evening, Mihoshi arrives home with the shopping, but there is still more work to do. As Mihoshi is bringing in the day's laundry, her neighbour Ryoko drops by to ask for some soy sauce. Tenchi returns home just as Ryoko is letting herself into the house, and she is always ready to flirt with him. Mihoshi is certainly not pleased about Ryoko taking such liberties, but Ayeka is positively furious with her, and the two of them, as ever, are soon arguing.

Luckily for everyone involved, Washu has managed to locate the dimension and closes it before another fight can break out.

Bandits on the runThe final story takes place in 1930's America. Ryoko is a gangster, and Tenchi is her reluctant partner. Together, they have been on a wild crime spree across the USA, and are wanted by every police department in the country. Millionairess Ayeka, has offered a $1,000,000 reward for the capture of Ryoko, and has employed FBI agents Mihoshi and Kiyone to help track her down.

In a quiet moment between robberies, Ryoko and Tenchi are sitting and watching the stars when, in a flash of light, Washu appears. She explains that, after eliminating all the other alternative dimensions, this one is the only one remaining. However, she is having problems closing it; since it is Ryoko's idea of a perfect world, it is impossible to delete it unless Ryoko is willing to leave, and Ryoko is far too happy to do that. Wistful indecisionTenchi tells her that she is being selfish by refusing to leave, but Ryoko is adamant about staying. She teleports to the top of the Golden Gate bridge and looks down on San Francisco below. She mooches around an empty fairground, and imagines how much more fun it would be with Tenchi. Finally, she returns to Washu, and tells her she is ready to leave her fantasy behind — without Tenchi by her side, what good would her fantasy be anyway? She clutches tightly onto Tenchi's hand as they head back to reality.

Some time later, the girls are relaxing in the bath after their exhausting romp through their assorted dimensions. Ryoko is not with them, however; she is out by the shrine gate. Tenchi meets her there, hands her an apple he picked, and they eat together as they watch clouds roll by.

Fact! The song played when Ryoko is making up her mind over whether to stay or leave is "Forevermore" (or "Towa ni towa ni hoshi no yume", the original Japanese title), also known as "Ryoko's Love Song". The Japanese vocals are performed by Ai Orikasa, Ryoko's Japanese voice artist. You can read the lyrics here.
