| Episode 12 - | Time & Space Adventures: Part Two |
| Tenchikaibyaku jikū michiyu - chūhen | |
| First aired - | 18th June 1995 |
The dimensional cause-and-effect controller continues to run out of control, sending the gang from reality to reality until Washu can repair it.
In the first mini-story of this episode, Kiyone is the star. She has given up her police career and wanders Japan in search of enlightenment. On a cold and misty day, she arrives at a port town and stops at a rāmen (Chinese-style noodles) restaurant. She is greeted by Tenchi, the restaurant owner, and Ayeka, who is visiting from her own tavern. As fortune would have it, Kiyone is looking for employment, and there is a job going at Ayeka and Sasami's place.
So Kiyone's new life begins, happy, free of stress and far from Mihoshi, helping out at Ayeka and Sasami's restaurant. Months pass, and Kiyone finally seems to have found inner peace. However, her dream is shattered when, one snowy winter's day, Mihoshi enters the restaurant. She has been tracking Kiyone down since her disappearance, and wants her to come back and rejoin the police force. However, when Tenchi tells her that Kiyone is practically part of the family now, Mihoshi decides to come and work at the restaurant too, telling Kiyone that they will remain partners forever. Kiyone screams and runs from the restaurant, never to return. She boards the first train out of town, and as she stares out of the window at the snow-covered countryside, she wonders if she will ever escape the nightmare that is her partner.
Back in subspace, Washu has located Kiyone's reality, and closes it, ending the story.
The second mini-story takes place at a typical Japanese high-school. Ayeka, Ryoko and Tenchi are students, and Mihoshi and Kiyone are teachers. On this particular morning, Ayeka's walk to school is interrupted by Ryoko, and it is only when Tenchi, the object of both their affections, arrives that they stop bickering. It is all a pretty normal day, but little do they know they are being watched. As the school bell rings, Mihoshi, late as usual, rushes into the staff room. After being berated once again by Kiyone, classes start. The first lesson, taken by Mihoshi, is pretty dull, but Ryoko manages to stay awake by drinking sake in class, much to Ayeka's disapproval.
Meanwhile, Tenchi is in sports class, and is playing baseball. Tenchi chases the ball into some bushes and, when he finds it, discovers it has knocked out an unusual creature - Ryo-Ohki! As he is bandaging Ryo-Ohki's head with his handkerchief, Sasami steps out and Ryo-Ohki rushes into her arms. Sasami introduces herself and thanks Tenchi for looking after Ryo-Ohki. After Tenchi leaves, Ryo-Ohki (who, it is revealed, can talk in this reality) apologizes to Sasami for wandering off. Sasami warns her not to talk outside the magic kingdom for fear of giving away their secret identities. Rather than returning home at once, Sasami, who is rather taken with Tenchi, decides to stick around the school for a while.
That afternoon, Ryoko and Ayeka are fighting over who gets to walk home with Tenchi, and their brawling has attracted quite a large audience. Sasami watches them and decides to put a stop to their argument. She transforms into her magical girl alter-ego, Pretty Sammy, and fires a love arrow from her magic bow at Ryoko and Ayeka. Touched by the power of love, Ryoko and Ayeka stop fighting and confess their love for each other, leaving everyone else incredibly confused!
The curtain falls on another strange story, but, as our hosts Azaka and Kamidake promise, there is still more to come!
