Episode 11 -	Time & Space Adventures: Part One

An ordinary and peaceful bath time is thrown into a state of confusion when a dimensional rift opens up in the men's bathroom, sending Tenchi into the women's bathhouse (and his father into the kitchen sink). Seeking an explanation for this sudden intrusion, the girls head for Washu's laboratory, the usual source of weird and unexplainable phenomena around the Masaki home. Inside, they find Washu, hard at work on her latest invention; the dimensional cause-and-effect controller. She explains that the dimension controller is capable of altering reality to suit the user's needs, and her linking the bathrooms and the kitchen was just part of a test run. Ryoko and Ayeka are particularly keen to make use of the machine, but Washu tells them that, since it is unfinished, it could be dangerous. Their curiosity satisfied, at least for now, they leave the lab.

Back in the house, they meet Nobuyuki, who suggests that Mihoshi and Kiyone stay overnight rather than having to go all the back to their apartment so late. The family settles down to sleep, but the potential of Washu's invention is enough to send the girls on a late-night prowl to investigate further. Ryoko arrives at Washu's lab first, but the others arrive before she can use it. Ryoko and Ayeka are soon arguing with one another over who gets to create a perfect world for themselves, and everyone else is bombarding the machine with their own requests. The unfinished machine cannot cope with so much input, and starts to run out of control, shaking the whole house. Washu and the boys, awoken by the commotion, rush to the lab to investigate, but it is too late; the dimension controller sucks everyone into different dimensions!

The first alternative dimension they arrive in is Heian era Japan, where Tenchi and Ayeka are engaged to be married. Tenchi himself is a bold warrior, who has been ordered by the emperor to rid Japan of the demon of Rashomon (in this dimension, played by Ryoko), and Mihoshi and Kiyone have been ordered by Ayeka to help him. However, unbeknownst to Ayeka, Tenchi is seeing the demon behind her back. He goes to see her to explain the situation, and Ryoko suggests that they run away together. Mihoshi and Kiyone arrive on the scene to find Tenchi in Ryoko's arms. Although the duo agree to keep Tenchi's infidelity under wraps, when Ayeka arrives Mihoshi's motor-mouth can't help but give away the dirty secret. As if matters weren't complicated enough for Tenchi, Ryoko turns up and tries to drag him away with her. A fight ensues, and the rivals battle it out tooth-and-nail for possession of Tenchi!

Meanwhile, Washu is trying to repair the dimensional controller. She decides the best course of action is to eliminate each of the realities one by one. Her first task is to clear the Heian era dimension, and as Ryoko and Ayeka battle, the world around them disappears, leaving the gang to move on to the next free dimension...
