Seina's damaged
ship, the Kamidake, finally arrives at Jurai, bearing the mysterious
box that caused them so much trouble. As they come in to land Seina
admires the lush green landscape, while Alan, Barry and Cohen admire
their newest crew member Ryoko Balouta! The crew disembark and are taken
to see Lady Seto. Meanwhile, Alan, Barry, Cohen and NB are tempted away
in the opposite direction by several beautiful women, but they soon
find that their would-be seductresses are in fact leading them away
to their new assignment on another ship!
After
delivering the box to Lady Seto, the crew sit down to, what is to their
eyes, a lavish banquet, although just a simple meal by Seto's standards.
As they eat, Seto plays matchmaker for Amane and Ryoko, showing them
pictures of eligible suitors. They both make excuses not to meet these
men; clearly they have their hearts set on someone else! They suggest
Seto try and find a husband for Kiriko, and for the first time realise
that Kiriko is not at the table. Seto leads Amane and Ryoko away for
a private talk, and Seina finds himself surrounded by Seto's flirtatious
servant girls, all of whom are eager to hear of his exploits. Kiriko
shows up and tries to chase them off before they can force themselves
on the bashful Seina, but Seto catches her and takes her away for her
own matchmaking meeting as well!
Some time later,
Seto gathers Seina, Kiriko and Amane for a private meeting to reveal
the contents of the mysterious box they were given. Seto pushes a button
on the box and a holographic display reveals what is inside; a small
brown and purple seed. She explains the seed, known to space pirates
as the "Original J", is a third-generation royal tree seed.
It went missing for several thousand years, and was only recently rediscovered
by space pirates. It has the potential to become a hugely powerful Jurai
ship. Just then, Ryoko enters, clad in an extravagant and revealing
dress. Seto reveals that an analysis of Ryoko's DNA has proven that
she is actually heiress to the ailing Balouta dynasty. The Baloutas,
Seto continues, still hold a kingdom within Juraian territory, and as
the granddaughter of the king, Ryoko is the crown princess! A holographic
projection of Ryoko's grandfather, the present king, appears and greets
his rediscovered heiress with delight. He plans to revive the Balouta
kingdom and bring Ryoko back to her rightful home. Seto is keen see
this happen;
the
revival of the Balouta family would be a crushing blow to the dominance
of the Da Ruma Pirate Guild. Ryoko, however, wants to honour her promise
to follow Seina. Her grandfather suggests they could accommodate both
their wishes by having her marry Seina, but Ryoko refuses to return.
She manages to placate her grandfather by telling him he is still young
enough to father a new heir. He accepts Ryoko's decision, but leaves
his invitation to her open-ended.
After the meeting,
Seina goes to see how the repairs to the Kamidake are proceeding. On
the way, he meets a man with a huge moustache. He introduces himself
as Utsutsumi Kamiki, Seto's husband, and expresses his admiration for
Seina's achievements so far. He offers to show Seina around, but Seina
is anxious to check on his ship.
In
the repair bay, Seto and Minaho are waiting. They have some bad news
for Seina; the ship has suffered such severe structural damage that
it can never be repaired. The Kamidake has flown its last mission. Seto
and Minaho leave Seina alone with his ship for a moment, and he thanks
it for serving him so well. To his surprise, a voice replies, and he
turns to see a young girl with green hair standing atop the ship. She
jumps down and introduces herself as Neiju. She tells Seina that the
ship was thanking him in return, then runs off before he can ask her
anything.
Later, Kiriko, Amane
and Ryoko take the chance to relax in Seto's luxurious bath house. Ryoko
decides to go to the men's bath and scrub Seina's back, but Amane tries
to stop her. An argument ensues which quickly escalates into a scuffle.
Kiriko gets splashed as they fight and soon she becomes involved in
the quarrel as well! Seto puts a stop to their fight and suggests they
draw lots to see who gets to scrub Seina's back. Kiriko wins the first
draw, so Amane demands a rematch, but Kiriko keeps winning again and
again, much to the other two's frustration!
In the men's bath,
Seina is relaxing when Seto, having snuck away from the other girls,
enters and offers to scrub his back. Seina bashfully refuses, so Seto
summons a dozen eager servant girls to do the job instead!
Meanwhile, Amane
has had enough of drawing lots, and she and Ryoko decide to go to the
men's bath anyway. Kiriko tries to stop them, but they all fall into
the bath's teleporter exit and rematerialise in the men's bath. To their
horror, they find Seina surrounded by women and too embarrassed to object!
That night, while
the other girls sleep, Kiriko sits awake staring into a mirror, deep
in thought. The day's revelations about Ryoko are clearly weighing on
her mind. Seina lies awake too, with an ice-pack on his head to cool
him down from his earlier excitement!
Out in space, Alan,
Barry and Cohen are brought aboard the ship that is their new home.
They are all depressed about being separated from Ryoko. The captain
introduces them to their new crew, and they perk up considerably when
they discover they will be working with an attractive young officer
named Naoko!
Meanwhile,
on Jurai, Lady Seto has a gift for Seina; a brand new spaceship. As
the ship glides into view, Seto tells them it was designed by Professor
Washu, one of the finest scientific minds in the galaxy. In return for
this fine spacecraft, Seto asks them to accept Neiju as a passenger.
As Seina and his
crew depart on his new and unnamed ship, Seto bids them good luck. Neiju
seems to have taken a shine to Seina, and calls him "Seina-oniichan"
(big brother Seina). As they leave Jurai, NB, who has eschewed his latest
assignment and jumped ship, tumbles into the path of Seina's new craft
and finds himself once again speared painfully on its sharpest prong!
