Dub title - Moving In
First aired - 15th May 2002

Seina has just completed his body enhancement procedure, a process that vastly increases his physical capabilities, but he needs time to grow accustomed to his upgraded body. To this end, Amane has ordered him to move in with her for a while until he is capable of living without a body suit to restrict his movement. Seina, however, is rather embarrassed about living under the same roof as a woman, especially one so attractive as Amane Kaunaq.

As Amane drives Seina to the Academy to collect his belongings, she explains about the cohabitation arrangement. The best way to become accustomed to his new strength, she explains, is just to live one's daily life. Seina wonders why he cannot just stay in his dorm, but Amane reminds him that without his body suit he would be as helpless as a baby, unable even to walk. Seiryo is the jealous typeJust then, Seiryo draws up alongside in his car. He turns on the charm with Amane (whom he refers to as "My Amane"), then almost immediately starts ridiculing Seina. Amane casually mentions that Seina is moving in with her, which succeeds in inflaming Seiryo's anger. She goads him on further by putting her arm around Seina, then nudges Seiryo's car with her own, sending it spinning into the ocean! Amane continues telling Seina about the living arrangements, mentioning in particular the house's bathroom which she describes as "large enough for two"! Suddenly, a holographic projection of Elma pops out of the back seat of the car - this is Amane's in-car video phone. Elma tells Amane she has finished moving her stuff into the house, then tells Seina she will see him later. It seems that Seina's ideas of him living alone with Amane were rather wide of the mark, because Elma will be joining them too!

At the Academy dorms, Seina finishes packing his stuff into Amane's car. Kenneth and Rajau try to convince Amane that they can look after Seina (merely an excuse to move in with Amane too), but she insists that they need to concentrate on their own training. As they leave for her house, Amane tells Seina that she could spot exactly what his friends had in mind. Seina remarks that he is staying with her, so wonders how can she be sure he won't try any funny business, to which Amane responds that without his body suit he will barely be able to move for a while. Seina apologises for inadvertently costing her her promotion, but she teasingly assures him that seeing him struggle to adjust to his new body over the next few days will be enough to quell her anger.

Touchy-feely house-matesWhen Seina arrives at Amane's place, he is amazed at the size of her supposedly "small" house, and even more amazed when Amane tells him it is just her second home. Elma welcomes them both and drags Seina inside. Amane's house is no less impressive inside than out. Elma explains to Seina that the Kaunaq family run one of the most famous fashion houses in the galaxy, and Amane herself has modelled for them, so these lavish surroundings should come as no surprise. Amane apologises for the house being so small, but Seina muses that her definition of "small" is worlds apart from his - just one room of Amane's home is larger than his entire house back on Earth! As Amane shows him around the house, a transport ship arrives, carrying the last of the house's new occupants; Kiriko!

The four house-mates head out aboard Kiriko's ship to go shopping. Elma is curious as to how Kiriko acquired an old military ship, but she tells them it is on loan from Airi Masaki, and leaves it at that. During the journey, Seina asks Elma if he was really responsible for breaking the Galaxy Police computer systems. She tells him that it was actually his personal data that crashed the computers (though that fact is now considered top secret).

At the supermarket, the foursome shop for day-to-day essentials. As Kiriko tries to get Seina to decide what brand of shampoo to buy, Amane quips that they are acting like a newly married couple, which provokes blushes from them both. Elma and Amane try to drag Seina off to choose the rest of the cosmetics, deliberately acting suggestively to provoke Kiriko's jealousy. Just then, Seiryo appears, still dripping wet and covered in seaweed from his earlier plunge into the ocean. He tells Amane that she is wasted on such a poor student as Seina and should leave Kiriko teach him instead. Amane counters by telling him that she kissed Seina, a revelation which shocks everyone (Seina included). She then boots the interfering Seiryo down a nearby refuse chute. Kiriko, meanwhile, angrily presses Seina for the truth. Seina denies kissing Amane, but she reminds him that she had to give him CPR the first time they met. Although she laughs off that supposed kiss, she then whispers to Seina that their first meeting was the first time she had ever kissed anyone.

After shopping, Amane takes everyone to dinner at a nearby café. Amane asks Seina to get her a glass of water, but tells him that the old lady in the kitchen is hard of hearing, so he needs to speak up. Seina addresses the lady in the kitchen as "obaachan" ("old lady" / "grandmother"), but she turns around with a furious look on her face; it's Airi Masaki, chairwoman of the Academy, who hates being called a grandmother! Once she has calmed down (by making Seina write lines promising not to call her obaachan again), she explains that she is working at the café as a favour to a friend, but she also loves cooking. "If you know how to cook," she says, "you can survive no matter what". Once their meal is ready, she invites them to eat out on the balcony. Dinner at the crater caféAs Seina steps outside, he discovers that the café is actually carved out of the rock on the rim of a massive crater. Airi explains that the crater is the result of a failed experiment, and is named Washu's Pore. Just as they are sitting down to their meal, a now smelly and bedraggled Seiryo staggers into the café and challenges Seiryo to a duel over Amane. Fortunately for all concerned, Airi won't stand for his behaviour and clouts him over the head. Amane kicks him into a mailbox, which automatically parcels him up and posts him by teleport to as far away as possible!

That evening, Seina's training begins. With the restraining controls turned down on his body suit, his first task is to stack building blocks together. Co-ordinating his upgraded muscles is difficult, but he sticks to his task with determination. When Seina has done all that he can, Amane suggests he call it day. She offers him a massage to ease his stiffness and drags him off to the bathroom.

It's not what you think! In the bathroom, Elma soaks in the hot tub as she ponders a mystery; throughout the entire day, Seina has suffered none of his usual bad luck. Meanwhile, Amane massages Seina's tired muscles. Suddenly, Kiriko bursts in to find Amane with her hands all over Seina, and she jumps to a rather obvious conclusion. Furious, she hurls a bucket at Seina's head, knocking him into the water, and storms back out. Elma observes that Seina still has a lot of toughening up to do yet...
