The 17 shot / 34 second sequence before the title card has been removed. This scene showed Tenchi harvesting carrots in the fields (and Ryo-Ohki eating them faster than he can pick them). As Tenchi berates Ryo-Ohki for being so greedy, it begins snowing, but Ryo-Ohki suddenly starts to hiss and yowl at the sky, then runs off.

After the episode title card, a 35 second / 7 shot sequence of Ryoko enjoying sake (rice wine) in the bath, then inviting Ayeka to join her, has been cut (although the two establishing shots of the floating onsen have been kept in).

One of Ryoko's lines, when she is teasing Ayeka, has been altered.

One 4 second shot of Tenchi urinating has been cut from Ryoko's reminiscence about watching Tenchi as he grew up.

The shot where Ayeka is teasing Ryoko about her age has been shortened by 5 seconds to remove the line;

Ayeka: You're over a thousand years old and it's annoying to be seduced by an old lady!

The shot of a tub full of empty sake bottles and dishes has been removed, and a section from a later shot borrowed to cover the gap while keeping the audio intact.

One shot of Mihoshi has been shortened by 5 seconds, cutting out her line (section in braces indicates cut);

Mihoshi: {Yes, that's what I thought. He might be my destiny.} (giggles) Oh, we've just met and I'm talking to you like this!

Sasami's line when she walks into the onsen has been changed to remove the reference to alcohol.

The shot of Ryo-Ohki leaping into Ryoko's arms has been shortened, and the shot after it cut, a total of 5 seconds. The shot of Ryoko looking up has been shortened by cutting the first two seconds and shifting it into a new position part-way through the shot of Kagato arriving (splitting that shot into two).

One shot during Katsuhito's fight with Ryoko (who is being controlled by Kagato) has been shortened to remove part of Tenchi's line (section in braces indicates cut);

A single shot (9 seconds) has been cut from the scene where Tenchi pulls the sword from Yosho's life tree.

One of Tenchi's lines during the spaceship battle with Kagato has been changed.

Three shots (30 seconds) have been cut from the spaceship battle, showing Mihoshi getting the computer unit Ryo-Ohki drunk. The shot of Ayeka's first reaction has also been shortened by 1 second.

Two shots, one of Kagato and one of the interior of his ship, have been cut, just after Tenchi activates the Light Hawk Wings aboard Ayeka's ship Ryu-Oh. These cuts total 10 seconds.

Two shots (10 seconds) following Ryu-Oh's destruction have been cut. These featured Ayeka desperately crying Tenchi's name and searching the wreckage with Ryo-Ohki's scanners. In the original, Ayeka cries out "Tenchi" 12 times; in the TV version, she says it only 4 times. In addition, one shot of Ryoko searching the wreckage has been shortened by 2 seconds.
